Isolation Transformer
Isolation transformer is also voltage transformer. Ther is no direct connection betwwen the two windings. They are connected only by the intangible lines of magnetic flux in the core. In some types of circuit the transformer may have 1.1 turns ratio that is to say non set-up or non set-down action. The function of this transformer is to isolate the circuit from the supply.
